100% Cotton Fruit-of-the-Loom quality t-shirt. This star symbol was hastily stencilled on the roof or bonnet area of all Allied vehicles prior to the D-DAY landings of 6th June 1944. RAF and Allied air forces could quickly identify them as 'friendly'. Operation Overlord proved the largest and most successful amphibious invasion in military history. Our white star, accompanied by the broken circle, proved much quicker to apply hence its authentic, almost utilitarian appearance.
